Be Fruitful and Multiply

When reading scriptures that speak of God’s command or blessing to be fruitful, and multiply and to be a great and mighty nation, we must ask how we see or apply that to our lives.  What do those words speak to the internal dimensions of our existence and being as we operate in the earth.

Adam Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them (male and female), and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the bids of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth”.

Noah “Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”  “Genesis 9:7-9 “And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. And God said unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, Behold I, establish my covenant with you, and with your seed (offspring) after you.”

Abraham Genesis 18:17-19 “And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?  For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

The writer of Hebrews emphasizes this blessing in Hebrew 6:13-14 “For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself, Saying, surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

Jacob Genesis 28:3-4 “And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, you shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and take a wife from there of the daughters of Laban thy mother’s brother. And God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, that you may be a multitude (company) of people; And give you the blessing of Abraham, to you, and to your seed with you; that you may inherit the land where you are a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.”

Joseph Genesis 48:3-4 “And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, and said unto me, Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people; and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.”

Israel Exodus 1:7 “And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.”

Please keep in mind one cannot dispossess what one does not possess from an internal configuration and operating principle. What I mean is that if you do not fully believe, accept and walk in the truth of this covenant promise, you cannot inherit the promise.  In this age/season we must reexamine how we walk; apply those scriptures in life, coming to the place where we possess/own the fullness of the scriptures, preserving knowledge and giving instruction. Babylon continues to attempt to erase knowledge of the kingdom of heaven in the earth. We must see Babylon as a counterfeit kingdom in operation in the earth.  The ekkleisa (Governing Church with authority and power) is supposed to be the conscience of the world.  We are to be fruitful, and multiply, to be a great and mighty nation as we preserve knowledge of the kingdom of heaven and give instruction according to the ordinances, statues, judgements, plans, purpose, strategies, and will of God.   Go out into the world and through influence, occupy till Jesus comes…Until the kingdom is made manifest in every system and area of life!

“This is a Test” by Traci Moyer

This verse dropped into my spirit this morning as I was seeking the Lord. (I have emphasized some text in bold.)

“Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made a raid against the Negeb and against Ziklag. They had overcome Ziklag and burned it with fire and taken captive the women and all who were in it, both small and great. They killed no one, but carried them off and went their way. And when David and his men came to the city, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep. David’s two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel. And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. And David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David. And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He (The Lord) answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.” So David set out, and the six hundred men who were with him, and they came to the brook Besor, where those who were left behind stayed. But David pursued, he and four hundred men. Two hundred stayed behind, who were too exhausted to cross the brook Besor...And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day, and not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who mounted camels and fled. David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken, and David rescued his two wives. Nothing was missing, whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken. David brought back all. 1 Samuel 30:1-10, 17-19 ESV

Here is what I see:

David’s small army had been gut-punched. Everything lost. Including their most precious families. What now?

Let’s look at the progression.

  1. Devastating loss and defeat
  2. Deep grief
  3. Response to the loss: bitter or broken
  4. Seeking the Lord
  5. Hearing from the Lord
  6. Acting according to His word
  7. Overwhelming victory
  8. Recovering all

David and his men came back to their camp to find that everything they possessed and everything they loved had been destroyed or stolen, including their wives and children. Our enemy will come to kill, steal, and destroy. When he does this, he is attempting to isolate us in our loss and plant seeds of doubt about God’s goodness and faithfulness. We cannot be surprised by these tactics but expect these “fiery trials” as Peter tells us in 1 Peter 4:12.

They grieved greatly. God designed us to feel things deeply and to express ourselves with emotions. If we try to stuff down or deny our natural emotional response, it only causes problems. Psalm 116:3 expresses serious grief when it states, “The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow.” But do not stop there! Verse four says, “Then I called on the name of the Lord: ‘Lord save me!’” Do not get stuck in grief and trauma but call upon our covenant keeping God for comfort and strength. Go ahead and feel it, and then move on.

All the people were bitter in soul. The people responded to the great loss with bitterness and thoughts of harming David, thinking that someone needed to pay. David was greatly distressed, broken, however he responded differently than the rest. David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. Two paths. Which will we choose? When we are devastated with loss and pain, will we succumb to bitterness? If we do, it is because we have an orphan mindset and we are not perfected by our Father’s love. Not David. He knew his Father and hid himself in Him. We can do the same by recalling the Lord’s faithfulness, recounting His miracles, and reminding ourselves of His goodness and love. Once he found strength in the Lord, he could take the next step. David’s response also encouraged the others. Those who had been bitter, resentful, and ready to make David pay for their loss became obedient to the Lord and focused on the mission before them because of David’s faith and trust in the Lord.

David inquired of the Lord and the Lord answered. Simple right? But do we throw questions out like we are talking to the ceiling, or do we ask expecting an answer? Here is what scripture says about that:

“For here is eternal truth: When that time comes you will not need to ask me for anything, but instead you will go directly to the Father and ask him for anything you desire and he will give it to you, because of your relationship with me. Until now you have not been bold enough to ask the Father for a single thing in my name, but now you can ask, and keep on asking him! And you can be sure that you will receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits!”…(John 16:23-24 TPT)

“Just make sure you ask empowered by confident faith without doubting that you will receive. For the ambivalent person believes one minute and doubts the next. Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind. You’re up one minute and tossed down the next.” When you are half-hearted and wavering, it leaves you unstable. Can you really expect to receive anything from the Lord when you are in that condition?… If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God!”…(James (Jacob) 1:6-8,12 TPT)

So, let us ask with bold confidence in His goodness, and once we have asked let us wait expectantly for an answer.

So, David set out. As soon as David received his answer, he immediately acted. Do we hesitate to act once we know what we are to do? Do we second guess God, wondering if He will really come through? Or do we waver like Moses first did as we look at our own limited capabilities instead of looking at God’s unlimited abilities? We read in Ephesians that he, “is able through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20 NLT). We cannot look at ourselves. We must fix our eyes on HIM and act!!

And David struck them down. It’s that simple. Not easy, but simple. Jesus has already won the victory and given us the power and authority in him to maintain it. In fact, He has given us, “authority over ALL the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). He has made us overcomers. In fact, in Romans 8:37, says that we “OVERWHELMINGLY conquer through him who loved us.” God gave David overwhelming victory over his enemies and he will do the same for us, for, “whatever is born of God overcomes the world” (1 John 5:4).

Nothing was missing, whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken. David brought back all. First, The Lord says that the enemy must pay back everything he has stolen. “Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold; He may have to give up all the substance of his house” (Proverbs 6:31). Second, God is a God of restoration. He speaks through Zechariah saying that he will restore because of his compassion (10:6). In Joel he promises to restore the years that the locust has eaten (2:25). In fact, all of scripture in one epic description of God restoring mankind to himself. God does not lie, and He does not change. He cannot go against his own character. It’s IMPOSSIBLE! We can expect restoration, so speak to the enemy and demand that he return ALL that he has stolen or destroyed.

Do you feel gut-punched? Do you look around and feel like all is lost? A few times, even in the past few weeks, I have had to regroup. I have had to remind myself of God’s goodness, his faithfulness, his power, and the truth of his word. I choose to trust him in loss and in defeat and I believe he is in the process of restoring everything. EVERYTHING. Have you been tested lately? What will you choose?

LOOK UP!

Don’t get confused, I’m not looking up for the Rapture of the Bride. We haven’t seen the Bride yet. But She is in the making and we will see the glory of God on His Church as He transforms us into a beautiful Bride without spot or wrinkle. Remember that the baptism of glory comes after the baptism of suffering/persecution. Oh the joy that is set before us!

Don’t be dismayed by the recent events. Our time table is not dependent on the structures of this world’s government. God uses EVERYTHING for His purposes and ALL things do work together for our good. His Remnant Church is not moved by the world’s events nor is it’s transformation dependent on the escapades of the world. However, God will use this environment to strengthen, teach, correct, realign and instruct his people.

My parents taught me to learn from other’s mistakes and not to make them myself. I did learn some lessons by watching others. However, because of my unwillingness to learn from good instruction or other’s mistakes (Self, flesh, desire to sin, pride, deception, etc.) I did have to go through some things in my life. They were great teachers even though they brought hard consequences. Thanks be to God that He never stopped pursuing and convicting me…all in hopes that I would turn to Him with my whole heart. Even the hard consequences were used by God to bring great blessings.

If we are wise, we will learn quickly. In war, you kind of have to learn quickly or you can loose your life. We are not just in war…We are in THE Cosmic War of theAges. We can’t be rocked by the events of late. This is not the War…it is just a skirmish in the war and God will use this to accomplish His purposes. We have not lost! God is working out His plans. We must continue forward as we follow our leader into the next skirmish. We must do as Paul warned us in 2nd Timothy 2:3-5, “Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules”.

What is Paul saying? Don’t be so entangled with the happenings of the government that you take on the cares of this world and allow it to choke the Word of God in your heart (the logos and the rhema Word). He also says to stay in the battle (competition). An athlete trains hard to compete. When the competition is on, the athlete doesn’t leave the competition before it is done. We must stay our course. Hold on to our faith in God. Don’t throw away your confidence in God’s ability to perform His will. If you find yourself faint, you haven’t trained hard enough. Get in the Word. Praise Him. Spend some time with Jesus, the Victory of our Faith.

While all the eyes of the world were tuned into the elections and the recent happenings of the government, the Remnant Church was looking up to heaven in hopes of seeing, hearing and knowing what God is doing. The prophets are being tested. The people of God are being tried. Corrections are being made in our thinking and discerning. God is calling us to be focused on Him. The events have caused the weak to question and feel faint…weak kneed, dizzy, unable to perceive, unstable, and close to loosing their faith. Let the weak say, “I am strong”. Don’t find yourself giving in to attack of the enemy. He wants to unseat you in your authority. Jesus stripped the enemy of all authority and then gave that authority to us. Don’t give it back to the enemy!

When we put our eyes on man or foreign governments to take care of us, we will be disappointed. I say ‘foreign’ because we, the people of God, are citizens of heaven who live on the earth as ambassadors of Christ. We are to extend His heavenly kingdom to the earth. We are to be salt and light because the government in this realm is perverse and men are wicked. We, of course, hope and pray for a good outcome. One in which righteousness and justice rule. We pray for His kingdom to be manifest on earth as it is in heaven. We know that It will be done. We have read the end of the Book. We are FULLY persuaded. No matter how long this takes, we will stand and believe our God.

The Church has been asleep for many years. 20% of the American Church voted for a platform that kills the unborn, steals from the American coffers, and destroys the very citizens it has been sworn to defend. However, they did not see the destruction. They have either been deceived or they are not true believers. I don’t judge their hearts, but their actions are already judged. Neither do I condemn them. I pray for eyes of their understanding to be enlightened. I pray for their hearts to break for the sin that they have aligned themselves with. I pray for them to repent and come back to a loving God who is now attempting to show them the truth and consequences of their choice. (I know what it took for me to return to God. A dog attack helped my eyes to open. Although I don’t wish that on anyone, I say “whatever it takes Lord to bring this country to repentance”).

As God uses this time to awaken the church, can we, PLEASE, hold on to our faith! Keep our mouths speaking God’s Word. Keep praying for our enemies as our Lord instructed. Can we, PLEASE, take our eyes off this temporary world and LOOK UP!

Psalm 61:1-8
...Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you. I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. For you, God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. Increase the days of the king’s life, his years for many generations. May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;
appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him. Then I will ever sing in praise of your name and fulfill my vows day after day.

Look up to our ROCK…He is higher! He will sustain us in whatever rule is upon the earth. He is our strong tower. Even though the enemy seeks evil for you, continue on in war. Don’t forget to practice your priestly role! Enter the secret place to find peace and minister to HIM! Don’t give your time or thoughts to the evil one. Pray for your enemies. Don’t find yourself cursing them. We live under the laws of the higher kingdom of heaven! Stay and walk in the kingdom ways. Leave the vengeance to God. Fulfill your vows to God day after day! And DO NOT find yourself in the seat of the mockers, scoffers, or scornful…for they will be judged harshly by God.

Expanded & Amplified Translation of 2nd Timothy 3:1-9 by Keith Williams

“Come to grips with certain facts that are real and cannot be changed! Do not be naïve but understand that in the very last times, treacherous, dangerous, perilous, grievous, harmful, and hurtful times will come

For men and women will become selfish and self-centered…so much so that this will manifest into an inordinate love with themselves, extending out to an inordinate love and passion with money. These people willingly exaggerate the facts…even willing to lie and stretch the truth if it will bring them the gain they are wanting. You will be able to recognize them because they will have an air of superiority. They will be harsh, abusive, speaking blasphemous language, always an accusation and reviling’s will be their stock and trade.

Even the children will be unpersuadable without the ability to hear sound wisdom, disobedient and out of control. The adults will not be much better being unthankful and ungrateful, they will be morally loose, lewd, dirty, and nasty people.

The family unit will suffer severely, as the natural love of fathers and mothers to the children and extended family relationships will become irreconcilable, unable to settle small disputes ending in unforgiveness, accusations, and slander becoming just like the accuser of the community of Christ.

People will be uncontrollable in every way possible…with sex, greed, money, positions of authority…appetites of every sort will go to the furthest extreme, producing a people who are fierce, untamable, out of control, brutal, and uncivilized. They will be despisers of God, haters of God…even hating anything considered good. Adding to this, there will be no laws for good people.

Traitors and oath breakers will mark a generation of reckless, hasty and rash decisions, making things better in the short term, but great harm for the long term. In the characteristics of a hurricane, they are swollen with conceit attempting to radically change and alter everything along their path, coming in quickly and blowing out just as fast. These will be temporal-minded people…completely deceived..in love with moments and lifestyles of pleasure, far outweighing any love of God which has been exchanged for their own comfort.

They will have an outward appearance and façade of godliness, looking like sheep and sounding like sheep but in reality, they are goats because their inward substance is defective; they will do all in their ability to stop, hinder, and refuse to allow God’s liberating power to operate. AVOID, STAY AWAY, OR RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE WITH LEGITIMATE HORROR!

Also, from among these, will come others who will have on a different set of clothes or outward appearance but the same deceptive nature on the inside, who will worm their way into the homes of weak-willed or gullible women in the hope of getting complete possession and control of them. These people are also burdened down with their own weights of sins and led astray by various passions driving them, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth because they continue to eat from the wrong tree.

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, in the identical same way, with the very same methods these people also oppose the truth, people whose minds are completely ruined and depraved, reprobate regarding the faith.

But these people advancement will come to a sudden stop and be cut off abruptly, for their lack of intelligence will be manifested to be defective for all to see just like Jannes and Jambres”.

On the Brink of Restoration

I was contemplating how much chaos is all around us in the very strange time we live. It reminded me of the creative work of Holy Spirit as He hovered over the chaotic waters in “The Beginning”. We understand that God is a God of Beauty and Order. Yet, we see the ugliness that sin and rebellion has propagated in the world. Evil governments, corrupt religious structures, unfair business practices, failed judicial benches, broken family structure, and weakened educational systems, are seen as the results of failure all around us. (I think the list could go on and on). Since God has never failed and is incapable of it, I am left to surmise that these failures were man-made and man-driven. Thus, the futility of man is seen over and over again.

When we look at the laws of the Kingdom of God we see love, loyalty to others, gratitude, servanthood, and devotion to God and each other. We see that His Kingdom is full of the peaceable fruits of righteousness. There is no striving or worry. There is productivity and working without toil to fulfill the plan of the Father.

Why then, as followers of the King of Light, do we choose to live by another law? The laws of this world are dark and foreign to us as Children of God Almighty. It is clear from scripture that the ruler of this age and this dimension is NOT our God and we have no reason to live by his rules. We have been made Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven and continue to spread the Kingdom of Life wherever He sends us.

Since the world was placed into a fallen state, God has been making provision for man to be restored. First, in the garden, the Father made an animal sacrifice and covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve. After the Fallen Angels rebelled and had sex with human women, creating a hybrid race on the earth, God saved his seed through Noah and obliterated the enemy. God called Abraham out of the land of Mesopotamia where the practice of serving Fallen beings had once again corrupted mankind. Joshua faced the giants (nephilim) again in the promised land and defeated them under the direction of the Angel of the Lord. God was with David as He killed Goliath who was a giant Nephilim.

Finally, Yeshua, who is God came to redeem us with His own life. He paid the death price for us and allowed us to become adopted into His Father’s Kingdom. We were translated out of the kingdom and domain of the the evil one and translated into the kingdom of Light. The world in the earth is Babylon (full of the evidence of fallen angel knowledge and technology), but we are not citizens of it. Our assignment is to stand against the rebellion of fallen angels and plunder the enemy’s camp by making disciples for our Lord. It’s a Rescue and Restoration Mission.

The work of restoration is very difficult and time consuming. Think of an old house that is full of decay, mold, and disrepair. The job of restoring the home to it’s original beauty can seem overwhelming…unless you know the Master Builder. The Contractor sees the plan and knows the strategies to employ at each stage of the deconstruction and reconstruction. The deconstruction is extremely messy. As the the walls, flooring, and cabinetry are removed, things are exposed that can be costly to repair and even dangerous if disturbed…there can be rodent nests, hidden molds, termites, or faulty electric. Whatever has been corroded or broken must be exposed, removed, and replaced.

I believe that America is in this deconstruction phase. It’s ugly and unsure. We must trust the Contractor as He gives directions about what to do. He will tell us when and how to get to the next phase. Deconstruction is hard work. There is no glory in it. The building site looks like a bomb zone. There are hazard signs everywhere. Workers there have to follow strict safety rules and wear hard hats. They must know what to keep and what to destroy…what can be salvaged and what cannot.

We, as God’s people, have seen the evidence of wickedness in our nation. We have asked God to reveal the evil and treachery. We are crying out for justice and change…RECONSTRUCTION. Well, The First Crew is the Demolition Crew! Did we think that we could just make everything better by slapping some paint on it? NO, we’ve done that for years…almost all of my lifetime and yours. We have to rip the band-aid off, cut out the infection, get down to live tissue, and then the wound can heal. Sorry about switching metaphors, but Americans have been using them exhaustively without solving this problem.

As we demolish the governmental system of this dark kingdom, we must keep our vision intact…a City whose maker is God. We are here, as citizens of heaven, for the purpose of spreading God’s Kingdom on the Earth. We are not here to become citizens of this dark kingdom. As the cloud of dust, mold, and termites are spread into the construction site, keep your vision, stand your ground, and remember your hope in Yeshua, our Contractor! He understands the Father’s Blueprint and He is coordinating our efforts to Reconstruct this Nation. Endure the Demolition and don’t be confused. He’ll send in the Construction workers next. They will build on a more sure foundation. Later, the Finish Carpenters will come on the scene to handle all the detail work.

The completion will be a beautiful home….an Embassy for God’s people. Will it be perfect? No, because we will be there. However, as we work towards implementing the laws of the Kingdom, and as Holy Spirit once again hovers over us, it will become heaven on earth.

The Vine and its Glittering Golden Ruby Wine

by Alison Bitney

He said, “I will take you on a wine tour of Israel”. I got my computer and His Spirit led me to pages as He spoke to me about the meaning of our tour. I saw different wineries and the significance of all of the boutique wineries that have popped up in that country. I visited the winery started by priests who now have a large brand and how they have prospered and are known for their wine. As I was praying and worshiping Him for bringing Israel back to life, my prayer changed into prophecy.

My prayer started out like this: …Father, please forgive our waywardness and lack of appetite for you. We really have been deceived. Open our hearts and minds to your plans and purposes. Cause us to SEE the wiles of the enemy that has kept us in bondage all the while making us think that we are free and righteous. What lies we have eaten in the appetite of our own lusts. Father, touch us. Make us clean. Make us truly holy. Cover us in the blood of The Lamb and purify us completely. Make us ready for this Day…this Great and Terrible Day…This wondrous and awesome day…this fearful and marvelous day. Cause your people to shine so brightly that our presence convicts the hearts of men and calms the raging beasts. Show us how to walk so purely and holy that the devil has NOTHING in us…No One in us…No footholds, no options, and no chances. I see the power of Holy Spirit pouring onto those who are consecrated.  Your priests, kings, and prophets who will speak, rule, and move with you.  We will live to do your will.  We will lay down our lives for your kingdom purposes.  Make us worthy of your sweet and powerful Spirit.

Prophecy:

Make us into pure, sanctified vessels that hold the Golden Ruby Wine that you have kept back until this age.  The best of your power and love for this age of mankind.  Oh how the prophets of old have longed to go to the cupboard and pull out this wine.  They have longed to see this day.  Their wait is not in vain and they ask frequently if this is the day.  The day of the Glittering Ruby Wine is upon us.  This Vintage is one of a kind.

It came from an old vine that has lived through drought and storms and fire and neglect.  It has seen the glory and devastation in all the ages.  It has been hungry for my Word, thirsty for more sun and sometimes for the shade of my rest.  It produces a grape that was sweet in the beginning, but over time, has soured.  With famine and lack, the grape withered.  But now, Just when the vine thought it could not produce a good crop, the vine was strengthened and pruned and purified and watered and the sun has shown on it day by day.  The rains have replenished it season by season.

Now it grows and the grapes are small but they will be plump, the largest grape and the sweetest of all other harvests.

Oh, the wine from this eternal vine will glitter in the presence of the Son and all who carry it will be blessed to have carried the most special and unique gift to all mankind.  For He is the vine.  He is the Wine.  He is the grape. No one is apart from Him.  No grape crushed speaks of himself…But the grape’s glory is the wine it produces.

Can’t you see, the crushing is the only way to get the wine from the grape.  The husk is cast aside and the wine remains.

As you drink of the wine, you will hear some say, “What a great grape”.  But others who understand will lift their voice and say, “We must preserve this vine”.  For from the vine more grapes will come and more wine…better wine is produced.  They will hold up their glasses and praise the vine, forgetting that their husks have been cast aside.

They will glitter with such sparkling light.  Glorified without a thought of their old husks.  They all drink of the wine forever in the presence of the Vine in the vineyard and they will forever serve the vine to preserve it.

The Vine and His Ruby, glittering Wine
